ANDREW BAE GALLERY

In the fall of 2004 Danielle stood at Bae, one of her favorite galleries, in a suit and pearls, biding time while waiting for a job interview at a nearby company. At the time Bae was looking for an Associate Director. Danielle's interest in the work was palpable, and Bae eventually convinced her to join him in his efforts to promote Contemporary Asian Art.

Danielle, who had worked as Associate Director for renowned San Francisco dealer Ruth Braunstein, fell into place with ease, allowing Bae to travel and spend more time with his family, and bringing a sculptor she had worked with in California to the gallery. She excelled at sales, nearly selling out the final show she opened at the gallery, and at developing the media's interest in the work. When it was time for Danielle to leave her full-time position, Andrew became her first Chicago client.
