The first time Danielle attended the Headlands Mystery Ball she was the DJ's date. She loved it - It was the best Halloween party she had ever attended. On the dance floor, at a silent auction, taking-in art installations, and loading her plate up at opulent food and desert tables Danielle talked with and admired the marvelous costumes of an eclectic range of Bay Area art aficionados. She learned that night that The Headlands Mystery Ball was the primary fundraising event for the Headlands Center for the Arts, one of the country's premier artist residency programs. The next year she volunteered to be on the organizing committee and eventually became a committee chair, raising money and awareness for one of the best parties (and organizations) ever.
