Danielle Klinenberg works with wet layers of fine watercolor on heavy papers. She wants to feed the eye of the viewer and brings colors and movement together as a chef prepares a feast. Her abstract compositions feel as though you might move through them, or climb into one. Studies of choreography, drawing and Danielle's close friendships inform the work. The artist, who has completed numerous commissions by choreographers for dance backdrops, is presently at work on a series of paintings larger than people.
