Painting is a part of my daily life. It starts with a tickle in my throat and a longing, and when I sit to practice, it builds and then washes through me: mind and body. When I paint my imagination at once goes along for the ride and impels it, driving artist and viewer into spaces rich with touch, movement, play, light and color. Making art allows us to express a richness and complexity that seldom works at the dinner table.
