Thomas Masters was the gallery where I had my first solo show in 2006. Close Up coincided with the opening of Universal Pictures’ The Break-Up a film in which Jenifer Aniston plays an artist working in a gallery. My Hollywood Discovery is a fun story to tell! The gallery represented me for years and included my work in their curation of Alinea. Rocks, in Westchester, NY also represented my work. I enjoy sharing my work through my studio and through independent curators, design partners and special projects, like the Artist Dinner Series at Blackbird and my wonderful patron The Blanchard. a small painting appears in this scene of The Break-Up on the mantle, just behind Vince Vaughn.

Esmé, a molecular gastronomy jewel box that integrates art into diners’ experience selected me as their debut artist in 2021 and opened with two immersive works from my first residency in Ojai, CA, A Snail in the Orchard and So Long for Now, not Forever, plus a piece I began on the eve of and completed at the height of pandemic lockdown, 19-’20 Abstraction. After both Ojai paintings sold, we installed a second group of paintings, including two pieces from the Bonbonnerie series painted on an artist residency in the Loire Valley and Degas Fire Dance, a piece inspired by a formative trip to France and a dream. Upon their arrival, guests of Esmé were treated to a glass of champagne and a visit with I. Enter the Fox, the first work of my Nos Nymphéas project.
